AeroTruck: paper job cards replaced with a digital system

A digital job-card system that replaced loose paper cards with photo-rich, on-screen-signed jobs - alerting technicians via WhatsApp and emailing the finished PDF straight to the client.

The challenge

AeroTruck managed work on paper job cards - the kind that fall behind cupboards, go missing, or blow out the window on the drive between jobs. Paper made accurate, timely reporting almost impossible and left no easy way to capture proof of the work done.

What they wanted was the speed of grabbing a card off the pile, without the part where it never comes back.

What we built

• A digital version of the job card that technicians complete on a device, including taking and attaching photos to the various stages of a job.
• WhatsApp integration that alerts technicians to new jobs they need to attend.
• On-screen signature capture with a finger or stylus, so sign-off happens on the spot.
• One-tap emailing of the finished PDF job card to the client.

The outcome

Job cards stopped going missing, and each one now carries photographic evidence of the work at every stage. Technicians get told about a job over a channel they already have open, and the client has a professional PDF in their inbox the moment it's signed off.
