# Eight years, and a new front door

> OrganiCode is eight. Our new site is live, and it finally shows what we actually do: the client work and the products we have built in-house.

**OrganiCode is eight years old this week.**

We started on 15 August 2018. Since then we have built and supported software for Volkswagen SA, the Cape Town Stock Exchange, GHD and a raft of SMMEs, and along the way we have built a set of our own products to solve problems we kept meeting in client work.

Today we launched a new website, because the old one had stopped keeping up with the business behind it.

A bunch of things changed.

**It is easier to find.** The old site did not make it straightforward to work out what we do, or to find us when someone went looking. That is now taken seriously rather than assumed.

**Our own [products](https://organicode.co.za/#products) have a proper home.**

- **[FlexForms](https://organicode.co.za/#flexforms)**, this is a modernised and upgraded version of the platform built in 2020
- **[FlexHR](https://organicode.co.za/#flexhr)**, this flexible HR system that uses existing payroll software and bolts on more flexible reporting, bulk actions and more
- **[FlexTasks](https://organicode.co.za/#flextasks)** is an offline-first task tracking system that we are using internally and polishing as we do so
- **[FlexBackup](https://organicode.co.za/#flexbackup)** is what we built when existing backup solutions couldn't meet our needs, soon to be released for customers.
- **[FlexDeck](https://organicode.co.za/#flexdeck)** is a pure passion project which combines hardware and software to control programs on the computer.

These exist in various stages of readiness and until now the only way to hear about them was to be in a meeting with us. That was a bad system.

Eight years in, the gap between what a business does and what its website says it does widens quietly, every year, unless somebody makes you look at it. We asked. Earlier this month we posted the old site on LinkedIn and invited feedback. The verdict: "so 2019", and way more generic devshop than OrganiCode actually is. Fair. Look now.
